Arctic Monkeys, Brisbane Riverstage 14/01/12

Okay here it is. Last night was the best night I have ever had in my entire life, I cannot even explain. I saw with my best friend Rachel: Violent Soho, Miles Kane and fucking Arctic Monkeys! We took a train to the city, missed our stop, got off at Roma, caught a bus to Southbank, was mislead by all the busdrivers, decided to walk, followed google maps which ended up being wrong so then we started following people in band shirts etc. We got there on time and it was soooo good. We got to the front of the mosh pit area and waited for a bit while the roadies set up. I was right up the front for VS and half of MK. He is a sexy man, so groovy. The mosh pit was actually so hectic! Half way through Miles we were getting pushed and slammed by people getting to the front. I was DRIPPING in mine, and hundreds of other peoples sweat and HOLY SHIT so much pot there! I was crushed for the first few songs of Arctic Monkeys. I rocked out with my cock out despite my crushed lungs and lack of air. Somehow I was at the front for ‘Black Treacle’ and stayed there all night! I have the best view ever, and holy shit Turner is such a sexy beast. They played all my favorite songs and Miles kept coming out with them! I can’t even go into detail cause I am still in the initial shock stage which may last a while. Such a great atmosphere! I got home and smelt so bad. We ended up catching a ferry afterwards, got a 1.16L slurpee of lemon, lime and bitters & orange and mandarin flavor afterwards, came home on the train and watched Violent Femmes on Sabrina! I still can’t get over the fact that I was only a couple of meters from the Arctic Monkeys last night! They were so mint. Definitely the best show I’ve been to ever, they sounded so good live! Oh mama.
